TFG Advocacy in Chulabhorn Royal Academy, Bangkok, Thailand

Tobacco-Free Generation International Limited congratulates the leadership of Chulabhorn Royal Academy for hosting the academic, social movement and capacity building discussions around the Tobacco-Free Generation Endgame (CRA’s calling this Smoke-Free Generation) on 23 January 2026. I was warmly welcomed by Prof Dr Rajata Rajatanavin (Acting Deputy Secretary General CRA), Prof Suwanna (Tobacco Control Research and Knowledge Management Centre, Prof Wisut and Dr Natthaya (CRA), visitors from the Thailand Health Promotion Institute and others from nursing and other medical schools across Bangkok. We were also humbled by the words of support from Prof Prakit Vathesatogkit, widely considered as the guru of tobacco control in Thailand for 40 years.

Thank you for all your heartwarming and searching discussion, most of all, seeing that TFG principles are harmonious and can be added into the curriculum. We spent 24 January conducting a workshop for your talented and enthusiastic Year 1 to Year 4 medical, paramedic and nursing students. They were just about to conduct a community outreach program two weeks after. We are pleased to hear that your students are finding the TFG approach protective, easy to promote and is well received by your larger audience. Congratulations Prof Wisut and Dr Natthaya for your leadership in hosting your third TFG session following our April and August 2025 sessions.

For the near future, we are most happy to co-present with your students and staff leaders to others in Bangkok and across Thailand.
